One of the legendary stories that hailed from this year's Luck Reunion involved the talented badass Margo Price. The storm had passed, and we were given the green light from officials to resume the evening’s festivities. With the World HQ stage no longer an option due to immense rain, our focus turned to the intimate Revival Tent. The team was huddled in the drizzling rain discussing our options and how to get as many bands back on stage as possible when Margo popped out of the darkness and said something like, “My band and I can be on stage and playing in 10 minutes flat.” Yes, please! With that, they got ready for their Luck Reunion debut. They put on a blistering bottle rocket of a set featuring songs from her critically acclaimed release Midwestern Farmer’s Daughter which brough the energy right back into the rain soaked night and paved the way for Willie to take that same stage a couple hours after.
Margo has been keeping extremely busy since Luck. She’s made a couple of late night TV appearances – once as the Saturday Night Live musical guest, and then on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She’s also been supporting Old Crow Medicine Show on a multi-city tour, and during that, we invited her out to Luck as the tour passed through Texas. We all gathered on a hot but peaceful Saturday morning, and Margo and her band played a few tasty tunes that we are happy to be able to share with the rest of our #luckfamily. Enjoy!
